Lead the enterprise function that centralizes, modernizes, and operationalizes technology & cyber risk insights?delivering accurate, timely KRIs and decision support for the Board, Senior Management, and regulators, aligned to the Bank's Risk Appetite Framework. You will set the strategy, build the target?state metrics program, and drive measurable risk reduction by enabling data?driven prioritization and remediation across global Technology.Is this role right for you? In this role, you will:Strategy & Operating ModelDefine a 2?3 year Metrics strategy and roadmap aligned to risk appetite and business priorities.Centralize Board/Management risk insights & reporting functions across Technology; harmonize processes/resources for efficiency.Establish portfolio intake/prioritization, funding model, and delivery cadences.Governance, Risk Measurement & ComplianceDesign and maintain standardized Board/Management KRIs, thresholds, tolerances, aligned to enterprise standards and 2LOD expectations.Ensure evidence based calculations and traceable lineage for Board/regulatory routines.Own creation and closure of audit, risk, and self identified issues within Insights & Analytics.Data Platform, Engineering & AutomationDesign and implement the target state data lake/warehouse, curated models, and semantic layer for risk analytics.Implement data quality and lineage controls; govern reference/taxonomy data.Automate data collection and reporting to improve cycle time and reliability.Reporting & Decision SupportLead monthly Board/Management KRI production and executive packs with sound rationale against pre defined limits/thresholds.Deliver drill down dashboards and ad hoc analyses to support prioritization/remediation planning.Measure and communicate remediation progress against risk appetite goals (keeps bank within tolerance).Stakeholder Management & CommunicationBuild trusted relationships across all three lines of defense; act as trusted advisor to senior leaders.Provide training and documentation to risk owners/first line teams; ensure sustainable processes and controls.Prepare and deliver materials for risk committees, Board, and regulators; provide transparent reporting on commitments to plan.Team & Vendor LeadershipLead, coach, and develop a high performing global team; manage resource planning and priorities.Oversee vendor/partner relationships and associated commitments.Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.Create an environment in which the team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.Build a high performance environment and implement a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours; communicating vison/values/business strategy; and, managing succession and development planning for the team.Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:12+ years progressive leadership in data/analytics, technology governance, or transformation in large, regulated orgs; 5+ years leading teamsProven experience centralizing risk data/reporting and delivering executive?grade insights.Strong understanding of technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, risk management practices, and regulatory expectations.Proficiency with data visualization (Power BI, Tableau) and analytics (SQL, Python); process automation ex- Location Toronto, ON
