Your opportunity The Project Coordinator performs core duties and responsibilities with a primary focus on coordinating and supporting a range of projects and initiatives. This includes planning project components; developing project schedules, milestones, critical paths, timelines, deliverables, and reporting; monitoring project and/or program accounts; and ensuring that purchasing policies are administered correctly.The role also supports the review of technical design documents prior to revision, as applicable, and helps ensure projects are implemented in accordance with established standards, procedures, and organizational requirements.In addition to construction and deferred maintenance initiatives, the Project Coordinator supports projects related to service delivery improvements, process documentation, process refinement, and other operational or strategic initiatives. The role involves gathering and clarifying information to establish project needs, liaising with internal and external stakeholders to support project progress, coordinating activities across multiple project streams, and contributing to the development and implementation of project plans. Your responsibilities will include Planning ongoing scheduled and non-scheduled facility maintenance programsApplying established standards to control the distribution of access to designated University spacesPlanning components of projectsDeveloping project schedules including milestones, critical path, timelines, deliverables and reportingDetermining scope of work required to develop solicitation documentsAdvising on site planning, design and maintenance for capital projectsMonitoring accounts for a project and/or program Essential Qualifications Advanced College Diploma (3 years) or acceptable combination of equivalent experience. A Bachelor's degree is an asset.Minimum five years experience in institutional project coordination or construction managementKnowledge and experience in process improvementsExperience in developing work specifications for project tenderExperience with measuring vendor performanceDemonstrated experience with financial reporting (i.e. variance reports)Strong working experience with project management software/applicationsDemonstrated strong analytical skillsAbility to work under pressure and set prioritiesAbility to exercise initiative, sound judgment, tact, diplomacy, discretion, and confidentiality Assets (Nonessential) Project management certificate To be successful in this role you will be AccountableDecisiveOrganizedProactiveResilientResourceful Please note This position is a term role for up to 12 monthsClosing Date: 04/10/2026, 11:59PM ETEmployee Group: USWAppointment Type: Budget - TermSchedule: Full-TimePay Scale Group & Hiring Zone: USW Pay Band 14 $91,677. with an annual step progression to a maximum of $117,242.
