*Purpose:* The Long-Haul Truck Driver transports goods safely and efficiently between Canada and the United States, ensuring on-time delivery while complying with all transportation regulations, company policies, and safety standards. This role supports the company?s cross-border operations by maintaining professionalism, reliability, and a strong focus on road and freight safety. *Responsibilities:* * Operate heavy-duty trucks to transport freight across Canada and the U.S. * Plan routes, meet delivery schedules, and manage hours of service in compliance with federal and provincial/state regulations. * Ensure accurate completion of bills of lading, logbooks, and other trip documentation. * Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment. * Follow Canadian and U.S. transportation laws, including DOT and NSC regulations. * Report defects, accidents, or violations promptly to dispatch or fleet management. * Maintain cleanliness and basic upkeep of assigned trucks and trailers. * Collaborate with the workshop team to schedule repairs and preventive maintenance. * Interact professionally with clients, shippers, and receivers. * Handle freight with care to prevent damage during loading, transport, and unloading. * Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding trip progress, delays, and challenges. * Support co-drivers in team driving situations when applicable. *Qualifications:* * Valid Class 1/A (Canada) Commercial Driver?s License with air brake endorsement. * Minimum 2 years of long-haul or cross-border driving experience is preferred. * Clean driver?s abstract and criminal background check. * Strong knowledge of Canadian and U.S. highway routes, border crossing procedures, and safety regulations. * Ability to operate electronic logging devices (ELDs) and navigation systems. * Excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills. * Flexibility to work extended hours, overnight trips, weekends, and holidays.
