Reports to Plant Manager & Kill Floor Supervisor.Job Functions /Responsibilities:Schedule and receive cattleMoving, transporting, and handling cattle in barn and company premisesReconcile cattle receiving and invoicingComplete and submit grading information on a weekly basisCommunicate effectively with employees and livestock producersHave a strong understanding of quality and ensure that all quality and safety procedures are followed at all timesSubmit regular daily and weekly reportsManage weekly scheduleTrain staff and new hiresEnsure all regulations are being followed pertaining to animal handlingOther duties as assignedRequirements & Qualifications:Experience in working with Animals (cattle)3 - 5 years of manufacturing/production experience; preferably beef industry3 - 5 years yard or barn experience (preferably cattle)Humane animal handling certificate is an assetAbility to operate skid steer is an assetProven initiative and leadership skillsGood computer skills in using software's such as Excel, Word, Inventory or Sales software'sStrong communication, time management, organization and team building skillsRepetitive work and willing to work in outdoor and shift work environmentsAble to lift up to 60 lbsWages and Benefits:$50,000 - $60,000 per yearEmployee benefits plan (medical, dental, life insurance, vision)Disability InsurancePensionEmployee store discountsCompany product purchase planOur workplace is a meat processing facility that is an environment of multi-temperatures and varying levels of humidity. We convert live cattle into Federally Inspected beef products.
