Title: Office ReceptionistEmployee Working Location : In-Person (Ottawa, ON)Employment Status : 8 WeeksIn this role you will :Build strong, transferable administrative and customer service skills while supporting daily operations at the Canadian Red Cross Headquarters in OttawaManage incoming calls and respond to inquiries in a professional and timely mannerGreet visitors and maintain security protocols, including sign-in procedures and access controlSupport office operations through mail handling, courier coordination, and supply managementUse Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel to maintain records and communicationsAssist the Facilities Department with administrative tasks and gain exposure to broader organizational functionsWhat we are looking for:Completion of secondary school and/or enrollment in a post-secondary program (college or university).Little to no prior work experience required; relevant work experience coursework or volunteer experience is an asset.Basic proficiency with standard computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).Ability to follow instructions, apply established procedures, and complete tasks with attention to detail.Willingness to learn, ask questions, and receive feedback.Clear communication skills for exchanging straightforward information in routine situations.Ability to work effectively as part of a teamBilingual in English and FrenchWorking conditions:Requires concentration, attentiveness, and attention to detail.Ability to adapt to changes in work priorities and respond to time sensitive needs.Work will be conducted in an office-like setting.As we work with and support people (managers, colleagues, beneficiaries/customers, volunteers, donors and external partners) and communities in Canada and around the world, applicants whose first language is not English may be required to perform the responsibilities of the role in English.Eligibility to work in Canada: At this time, we welcome applications from candidates eligible to work in Canada.
