<p><strong>RQ00684 - Sr. DevOPS/Cloud Engineer</strong></p> <p><strong>6-month contract (126 business days) - possible extension</strong></p> <p><strong>ONSITE 5 days (subject to HM's discretion) - 525 University Avenue</strong></p> <p><strong>Must Haves:</strong></p> <ul><li> Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Advanced expertise in provisioning and managing<strong> AWS (Amazon Web Services)</strong> cloud infrastructure using <strong>AWS CloudFormation, and AWS CDK (using Python as well as NodeJS). </strong><ul><li><strong>CI/CD Pipeline Automation</strong>: Deep hands-on experience building, maintaining, and securing robust continuous integration and deployment pipelines<strong> (e.g., GitHub Actions, AWS CodePipeline, Jenkins). </strong></li><li>Cloud Security & Governance: Strong expertise in<strong> AWS security</strong> best practices, IAM roles/policies, network security, and secure deployment of serverless architectures handling sensitive PHI. </li><li>Experience managing cloud environments subject to strict healthcare compliance frameworks <strong>(e.g., PHIPA, HIPAA). </strong></li><li>Experience with Provincial Assets and supporting <strong>FHIR</strong> repositories, specifically <strong>Smile CDR and AWS HealthLake </strong></li><li>Experience working with the <strong>OpenText NetIQ IAM</strong></li><li>Public Sector Experience</li></ul></li></ul> <p><strong>Description:</strong></p> <p>The Cancer Screening Project requires the engagement of a Flextrack Senior DevOps Cloud Engineer to support the timely software development, and implementation of secure serverless Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) that will enable the Digital Correspondence solution. These APIs will provide the foundational integration layer required to securely store and manage correspondence records, facilitate the transmission of SMS and email notifications, and enable the Digital Correspondence Portal to retrieve, manage, and present correspondence data in a secure and efficient manner. The development activities involve the implementation of cloud-native serverless architecture, integration with enterprise notification services, application of robust authentication and security controls, and adherence to applicable privacy, security, and information management standards.</p> <p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul><li>Design, build and support cloud environments to create digital products</li><li>Monitor and assess the performance of applications in a cloud environment to ensure solutions are available</li><li>Create, test and implement safeguards to maintain data integrity and protect against unauthorized access).</li></ul> <p><strong>Desired Skills:</strong></p> <ul><li>AWS Certified DevOps Engineer ? Professional or AWS Certified Security ? Specialty.</li><li>Chaos Engineering / Cloud Resiliency Testing: Familiarity with using tools like AWS Fault Injection Simulator (FIS) to intentionally inject faults.</li><li>Understanding of large-scale healthcare interoperability frameworks and provincial digital health asset directories.</li></ul> <p><strong>Required Skills:</strong></p> <ul><li>Extensive experience designing, deploying, and managing complex environments in leading cloud platforms, with a strong focus on AWS.</li><li>Proven experience provisioning cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.</li><li>Experience deploying and managing scalable serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda, API Gateway) and event-driven data flows.</li><li>Experience maintaining complex Linux cloud environments and supporting modern web technologies and databases (e.g., Node.js, Elasticsearch).</li><li>Knowledge of container-based virtualization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes/Amazon EKS).</li><li>Integration experience in deploying, managing, and securing highly available APIs.</li><li>Strong understanding of agile delivery models with deep- Location Toronto, ON
