Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. or equivalent experience. Tasks: Analyze hair and scalp condition. Provide custom hair and scalp treatment. Shampoo customers' hair. Supervise apprentices/students in training. Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair. Apply hair extensions. Cut, trim, taper, curl, wave, perm and style hair. Suggest hair style compatible with client's physical features and preferences. Maintain and order supplies. Schedule and confirm appointments. Ensure health and safety regulations are followed. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Hairstylist Licence. Hair styling techniques: Blow drying. Hair braiding. Iron waving/curling. Permanents. Roller setting. Hair colouring techniques: Bleach. Dyes/tints. Streaking/highlights. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Repetitive tasks. Manual dexterity. Attention to detail.
