Backup & Recovery<br/></div><div><br/></div><div>Role Description<br/></div><div><br/></div><div>Database Administration<br/></div><div>? Install, configure, and maintain PostgreSQL databases in production and non-production environments.<br/></div><div>? Perform database refresh activities between environments.<br/></div><div>? Execute database patching and upgrade activities.<br/></div><div><br/></div><div>Architecture & Performance<br/></div><div>? Manage PostgreSQL architecture, including memory management, indexing, and query optimization.<br/></div><div>? Analyze query execution plans and perform performance tuning.<br/></div><div><br/></div><div>High Availability & Clustering<br/></div><div>? Implement and manage repmgr clustering for high availability and failover.<br/></div><div>? Troubleshoot and resolve cluster node failures.<br/></div><div><br/></div><div>Migration & Cloud Integration<br/></div><div>? Design and execute database migration strategies from on-premises to cloud environments.<br/></div><div>? Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or Microsoft Azure is an asset.<br/></div><div><br/></div><div>Backup & Recovery<br/></div><div>? Implement database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.<br/></div><div>? Configure logical and physical backup strategies using native PostgreSQL tools and third-party solutions.<br/></div><div><br/></div><div>Replication<br/></div><div>? Configure and manage logical and streaming replication across environments.<br/></div><div><br/></div><div>Required Qualifications<br/></div><div>? Proven experience as a PostgreSQL Database Administrator in enterprise environments.<br/></div><div>? Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL architecture, including WAL, MVCC, and Vacuum processes.<br/></div><div>? Hands-on experience with repmgr clustering, failover handling, and node recovery.<br/></div><div>? Expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting.<br/></div><div>? Experience with migration strategies from on-premises to cloud platforms.<br/></div><div>? Familiarity with Oracle DBA, RMAN, GoldenGate, and Exadata.<br/></div><div>? Proficiency in backup, recovery, and disaster recovery planning.<br/></div><div>? Working knowledge of logical and streaming replication.<br/></div><div>? Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.<br/></div><div><br/></div><div>Preferred Qualifications<br/></div><div><br/></div><div>? Experience with Ansible and Terraform.<br/></div><div>? Knowledge of pgAdmin, Prometheus, or Grafana.<br/></div><div>? Support Modernization Detailed Job Description: ? Design, develop, and maintain applications built on IBM Financial Transaction Manager (FTM) to support core payments processing. ? Contribute to the development of payment flows supporting transaction processing. ? Build and support integrations between FTM and upstream/downstream systems using enterprise integration patterns. ? Participate in the design, development, testing, deployment, and production support. ? Troubleshoot and resolve application and integration issues in a complex, regulated environment. ? Collaborate with architecture, QA, and operations teams to ensure platform stability, scalability, and performance. ? Support modernization initiative- Location Toronto, ON
