About the Role We are seeking an experienced Chef specializing in Italian cuisine to join our team in Windsor, Ontario. The successful candidate will prepare authentic Italian dishes, including handmade pasta and traditional specialties, and work closely with the head chef on menu planning, recipe development, and kitchen operations. This role requires strong culinary expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to high-quality food preparation and presentation. Responsibilities * Prepare and cook authentic Italian dishes, including handmade pasta and specialty items * Work closely with the head chef on menu planning and recipe development * Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards * Create and develop new recipes with a focus on Italian cuisine * Prepare complete meals and specialty dishes for restaurant service * Estimate food requirements and food costs * Maintain records of food costs, inventory, and consumption * Supervise and train kitchen staff * Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards * Requisition food and kitchen supplies * Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or dietary restrictions * Assist with banquet and special event food preparation * Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment Qualifications * Culinary arts training, chef training, or equivalent experience * Minimum 5 years of chef experience, including supervisory experience * Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and traditional cooking techniques * Experience with handmade pasta and Italian culinary methods (asset) * Food Safety and Safe Food Handling certification * Leadership and team management skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment Work Environment * Fast-paced restaurant environment * Physically demanding work * Standing for extended periods * Attention to detail and quality * Team-oriented kitchen operations Benefits * Performance bonus * Free parking Pay: $36.01-$37.00 per hour Benefits: * Flexible schedule * On-site parking Work Location: In person
